Dog Training Provides Good Manners and Insurability

Training your dog provides you a great companion and now the added benefit of being able to get home owners insurance. With “Puppy Love” you and your puppy or dog can easily learn how to become a good canine citizen.

The American Kennel Clb shared the news that in some regions,
Nationwide Insurance is issuing homeowners insurance to owners of breeds
previously prohibited by the company, providing the dog passes the AKC
Canine Good Citizen test.

Nationwide has stated: “Nationwide has begun to allow the owners of certain
prohibited dog breeds to attain homeowners insurance if they provide an
original copy of a certificate demonstrating successful completion of the
AKC Canine Good Citizen program. This provision is currently available in
limited areas and provided the applicant meets traditional underwriting
requirements. The Canine Good Citizen program demonstrates responsible dog
ownership and we certainly hope this change will prove successful.”

Dog owners should note that at this time, only certain specified Nationwide
regions are participating.

The AKC Canine Good Citizen Program is a certification program that is
designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community.
All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the
AKC. The program continues to gain acceptance worldwide as the standard for
well-trained dogs and responsible dog ownership.

Extreme Pete Should Have Auditioned For The UnderDog Movie!

No matter what your sport is or what you love to do you can probably do it with your dog, too.

I’ve seen videos of dogs hang gliding with their owners, riding motorcycles, scuba diving, running marathons, jumping on trampolines, and of course skateboarding and wakeboarding. I’m sure there are many other wonderful examples that I have left out unintentionally.

The point is that after the consideration and precautions necessary for the dog’s safety there are countless ways you and your dog can have exciting, rewarding experiences together.

The foundation for everything is for the dog to have firm grasp of the basic training and commands so you can be in control and keep the dog and yourself from harms way.

The next time you watch a movie with a dog in it observe how the dog watches his handler who is off screen. They aren’t as good as humans at not looking like they are getting clues from the teleprompter. You can see them watching for their commands.

Remember, they want to please their owner or handler and they thrive on your praise! Give it lavishly! It makes you both feel good!

Get Puppy Love to learn how to start that communication process today.

Tyson The Skateboarding Bulldog

Dogs can be taught a wide variety or tricks or behaviors. They are really motivated by treats and more importantly by your praise.

Besides the tricks they are taught many dogs develop their own unique tricks that the observant handler can help the dog develop and refine.

I don’t know if Tyson was taught to ride a skateboard or if it was just something he picked up on his own, but it’s really fun to watch.

Dogs by nature are trusting, loving, and most importantly want to please their owner and have fun doing it. Once your dog has basis commands you can teach him almost anything. Get Puppy Love to learn the basics and get on to the fun stuff!

Problem Solving Dog

Dogs have great intelligence.

I have heard people say that dogs don’t think or they can’t reason things out. Not true! This dog had a problem and quickly figured out the way to get this ball. Take a look.

Can you imagine what he could do if he just had a little basic training.

It’s never too late to “teach your dog a new trick” either. Whether your fur friend is just a puppy or and adult dog you can use the techniques in “Puppy Love.”

Besides learning new tricks and more acceptable behaviors your dog will love the extra time and attention it gets from you.
